As I begin this post, my two children are nestled beside me, fast asleep from our busy day. I can hear the wind blowing outside, whipping through the overgrown and aging trees that line the small plot of land where the beach house owned by my husband’s grandmother sits.
We are in Surf City.
In the morning, when I look out the living room window, past the balcony, I look directly at the ocean. It’s heaven to this girl who swears she has salt water running through her veins.
It’s only the first day here and we’ve already spent most of our time on the beach itself, running through the chilly surf breaks, collecting sea shells, and gathering what bits of trash we can find.
I know that this post will set the tone for the future of The Edible Coast. It’ll dictate the ebb and flow of content.
So I’m going to try a little different. For each location I visit, I’m going to have a singular “main” post that breaks down our itinerary day by day. From there, you can click on the individual day which will take you to any content for that day – reviews, recipes, attractions, etc. These individual posts will be photo-intensive!
